Subject: Seeking your help |
Bible Note: FytRobert, thank you for sharing what God has been doing in your life. The desire to know the will of God is the first order of business for the believer. Just because God directed you to a specific task in the past does not necessarily mean that He intends the same now. The danger here is to "presume" the will of God without actively seeking it. So, I can not give you an answer one way or another, this is between you and God; but, I want to encourage you with this: From "Experiencing God" by Henry Blackaby, we learn that God is always at work and He invites us to join Him. In order to determine God's will, Dr. Blackaby tells us to look for confirmation from the Holy Spirit in these areas: God's Word, through prayer, through circumstances, through other believers. If you don't find unity or agreement in these areas, I would be hesitent to proceed. Remember that an assignment from God is always "God-sized." The urge is there but the ship is not. What is God requiring of you at this time? My advice is not to abandon the idea until God closes the door. Sometimes we are called to wait upon God - HIS timing is everything! Blessings, mommapbs |
