Bible Question: I am an Asian guy,i start accepting God in April 2002.I have a question, why christian of Catolic church is more on Mary?and is that thier bible is not same as the protestant ? |
Bible Answer: The term "christian" is nowadays a very broad term that doesn't mean really what it meant in the beginning of the Church. Catholics have nothing to do with the salvation presented in the Bible. They believe in Jesus Christ, yes, but at the same time, they believe in a salvation by works, which is completely condemned by the apostle Paul in Ephesians 2.8-10. Their system is hypocritical without realizing it fully themselves. So, for instance, they say that baptism is a key to enter the family of God. I ask you a question: "Have you ever noticed that, on the cross, one of the criminals who was crucified with Jesus, has been saved by his conversion, and no baptism has never been done for him. Moreover, Mary has a great place in the catholic theology because she is seen a mediator between men and Jesus, but the apostle Paul, once again, refutted this concept, when he said that there was only one mediator between God and man and it was Jesus Christ (1 Tim. 2.5-7).
