Subject: Greek genitive cases and the word "of" |
Bible Note: Greetings Hank! Now I'm blushing! :-) I also did enjoy the study of language. Unfortunately, I was not very proficient at it while I was in High School. I remember the first time I told me future father-in-law that I felt called to preach that he had his doubts simply because I did not have a very good grasp of basic English! :-) When I started college, they wanted to place me in advanced English but I refused. I asked them to put me in basic grammar and usage. At the same time, I begin my study of Greek. The two classes combined really helped me to get a better grasp of English. The cool part about Greek is that it forces me to think about the things that I normally take for granted. Everytime I translate, I basically have to diagram the sentence in my head. By the way, I am now offically the guardian of my new Grandbaby Aaliyah. God is really answering our prayers and I really appreciate the prayers that you, others on the forum, have offered up for us. Continue to keep my daughter in prayer. Our granddaughter has been alive now for 2 months, yet our daughter has not even been home to see her for the last 3 weeks. Thanks for the kind words, your prayers, and your continuing commitment to excellence my friend! Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |
