Bible Question:
Dear Elders I would like to know if it is alright for a Christian to visit a spa for massages? Is it considered extravagant? Rgds Curious2 |
Bible Answer: Curios2 If the massages are for therapeutic reasons there is nothing wrong with them. If a person is going to the spa to relax and they can afford it and they are a good stewards of God money then no it would not be extravagant. Extravagant is in the eyes of the beholder, to me Starbuck coffee is extravagant, to others it is one of lives luxuries they allow themselves. They on the other hand may view my purchase of books as extravagant. We are to be good stewards of God’s money if we can do that and still have a little to spend where we get enjoyment God will permit us. If the massage it is for sexual gratification then there is a major problem. EdB |
