Bible Question: This is coming from bygraceyearesaved and i"m directing this to the "once save always save" concept and to Is Judas still saved? Even though Judas betrayed Jesus and murdered himself, Jesus knew beforehand and mentioned the betrayal at the last supper. Just like Jesus told Peter "On this rock I will build my church and the gates of hell will not prevail against it"(Matt.16:18).And then in Matt.26:31-35;Mark14:27-31;Luke22:54-62;John18:15-18(NIV Version) Jesus foretells Peters' denial of him. So does that mean that Peter lost his salvation since he denied Jesus also? |
Bible Answer: My turn. Let me ask you two questions (1) Where in Scripture did you learn the term "lost his/her/their salvation"? (2) What happened to Peter AFTER his denials? (Does this sound to you like a person who "lost" his salvation?) --Hank |
