Bible Question: In Leviticus 19 it talks about not marking your bodies for idols or getting tatoos...there are many people who get tatoos. There are bikers who have religious tatoos that may really speak to other "hardened" bikers and could help to lead them to Christ. So, what were they talking about with the tatoos? Does God not like tatoos? |
Bible Answer: Leviticus 19:28 29 "You shall not make any cuts in your body for the dead nor make any tattoo marks on yourselves: I am the LORD. I believe this to be still talking about for the dead. it is not seperated by any punctuation indicating a seperate thought. At least I hope so! I have three. Two of which are "religous". One on my wrist has been a source of great help to me. I suffer from chronic depression. When I get real down, I can't help but occasionally glance at it. It is a simple "Christian fish" with ROM8:31 in it. When hard times come up, I might simply feel sorry for myself. But just a casual glance reminds me "If God is for us, who can be against us?"
