Bible Question:
Dear EdB and forum saints, Greetings in Jesus' name! Have you tried the e-Sword Bible software? I have been using it for about two months now, and it is very impressive! It is also FREE! (so far) I have used it on WindowsMe and Windows 2000 with no problems at all. Lots of add-ons, and very easy to use. Check it out at http://www.e-sword.net/ Oh, yes! In order to use the NASB, you must pay 20 dollars to them (it is worth it!). Also, for NIV fans, too bad, it's not available. ASV 1901, yes!! Finally, (for me) it is on your hard drive, so no CD-ROM to insert. I, too, want to hear about the Logos X. Blessings in Christ Jesus, charis |
Bible Answer: Charis I use both Wordsearch from IExalt and Nelson/Logos from Logos, both of which I have loaded on to my hard drive so I do not have the Cd-rom problem. I find Wordsearch to be easier to use. I especially like the audio pronunciation feature for Biblical names found in scripture and of the Greek and Hebrew words within the Strong’s concordance. From all the literature Logos has sent me on Logos X I think it may have corrected everything I found hard to use. Still missing is the audio pronunciation but that may be solved within a short time since Logos has just announced a audio pronunciation for an English dictionary. That tells me they have the audio technology is just needs to be extended to bible names and greek/hebrew words. I have MAJOR investments in both programs and I need to concentrate on one or the other. I have not tried eSword. My hope is one day to have my whole library on disk where I can search by terms/words. EdB |
