Subject: Do you understand Islam vs. Christianity |
Bible Note: That Mohammed himself claims that his book is from God is common with all cults that we are more familiar with in American history such as Mormonism, JW's et. all -- and like the cults it seems that the Quran does not have internal evidence that it is a book from God of God revealing himself. The bible does have very consistent evidence (internal) beyond one contributor stating that God gave us this book. Jesus used the scriptures as the authority of God almost all the time. The authority of the Word is equal to the authority of the Son. Paul, John, Peter and the writer of Hebrews all cite the validity of the bible as a book from God. Rather than one man's assertion that he had an experience (Mohammed) there is a consistent INTERNAL TEXTUAL line of evidence in Christianity. Islam has only the personal experience of a person (interpreted by his wife) and no other corroborating evidence whatsoever of truth being a self-revealing thing from God! |
