Bible Note: Greetings Mark, It’s interesting that you use the verse in Revelation, Rev. 3:11 Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown. It appears as though the church, the body of Christ, is becoming complacent, seeing it has been close to two thousand years since these words were spoken, and yet the Lord hasn’t returned as yet. Could it be that these words, I come quickly, weren’t meant to represent an epic that will take place in the very near future? Could the words, I come quickly actually represent the speed at which it will occur, once it starts to happen? Time has proven that this must be the case. Example: 1 Cor. 15:51-52 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, [52] In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. I come quickly and in the twinkling of an eye, could both represent the same thing, that’s pretty fast by my chronographic view! CDBJ |
