NASB | Revelation 20:4 ¶ Then I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was given to them. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony of Jesus and because of the word of God, and those who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received the mark on their forehead and on their hand; and they came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | Revelation 20:4 ¶ And then I saw thrones, and sitting on them were those to whom judgment [that is, the authority to act as judges] was given. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony of Jesus and because of the word of God, and those who had refused to worship the beast or his image, and had not accepted his mark on their forehead and on their hand; and they came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. [Dan 7:9, 22, 27] |

Bible Note: Hello Pastor Glenn, Whether one believes Christians will be taken before the tribulation or after I think we can be certain on one thing. In the near future all Christians will suffer persecution for their faith in Jesus Christ and commitment to the Bible as being the infallible Word of God. For one to be a Biblical Christian will be socially unacceptable and probably illegal in public. One does not have to be a prophet in this day to foresee a time when "enduring" will be a very difficult, maybe fatal, trial. Mat 10:28 "Do not fear those who kill the body but are unable to kill the soul; but rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. Many people these days are considering different forms of survival courses. True survival is building your faith in Jesus so that it "endures to the end". Thanks for the post, SignmanBob |
