AMPLIFIED 2015 | Revelation 19:8 She has been permitted to dress in fine linen, dazzling white and clean--for the fine linen signifies the righteous acts of the saints [the ethical conduct, personal integrity, moral courage, and godly character of believers]. |
Bible Question: What consitutes a "righteous act?" - Is there anything "righteous" that we do on our own? |
Bible Answer: I don't see how. Like I mentioned, we're following the lead of Savior. He set a whole standard of behavior for the whole world. I'm convinced if it hadn't been His influence in this world, it would probably have been destroyed again by now. It's just not in the nature of mankind to stay up with God's standard of doing anything decent and righteous for very long. We're just too prone to choosing the easier path as He talked about with the straight and narrow gate to Heaven. What do you think? Blessings to you. Country Girl |
