Bible Question (short): Isn't every word of God vital to us? |
Question (full): Debbie, You said "Speculation will do nothing for the Kingdom - action w/prayer will! " Should we then ignore all other prophecies except for the promise of Jesus' return? Jesus said: Matthew 5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. Isn't every word of God vital to our lives? Deuteronomy 8:3 And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the LORD doth man live. Matthew 4:4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. Was it "speculation" that allowed the wise men to recognize Jesus' star at His birth? Or was it a deep analysis of every word of the Hebrew scriptures(the Old Testament). |
