Subject: Does this mean that it is wrong to ask? |
Bible Note: Hank I agree we can make ourselves a mockery by calling things fact that have not happened yet and to which we have no control over. It is simply impossible to predict dates, and actual players in respect to eschatology. However Jesus did tell us we would be able to tell the season. As we see things that appear to line up with the whole end times scenario what is wrong with suggesting this may be the solution? I know many Pastors that simply will not teach on the Book of Revelations because they say it can’t be understood so it is a waste of time. I know others that believe it is a John having a bad dream after eating a pepperoni pizza. God gave us The Book of Revelation, He has told us to study His Word, He has given us imaginations, logic, curiosity, and will to understand. I can see nothing wrong with the study of eschatology as long as any conclusion we may reach is presented as theory rather than ‘thus sayth the Lord’ fact. EdB |
