Subject: Can you tell me where was jesus for thos |
Bible Note: The tomb was above the ground. The Holy Spirit has told me that Paul was referring to hell. I did not say that Jesus went to hell to atone for our sins. His death on the cross did that. I merely said he went to hell. My intellect tells me that since Jesus took upon his body all the sins of the world, that he would have to go to hell, because that is what happens to the sinner (although, Jesus, himself, was spotless and sinless). He went to hell for us. He died for us, so we wouldn't have to. I don't know what happened while he was in hell, but I know that he won the victory, and the keys to death and hades. When we get to heaven all things will be made known to us. We will find out exactly what happened to Jesus during those three days. In the meantime, we have to listen to the Holy Spirit when He tells us things while we are reading the Holy Scriptures. He wrote them. He is the teacher. The Bible says we need no man to teach us these things, as the Holy Spirit will lead us into all truth. I can't make you see my point of view and I am not trying to. You are free to believe what you want to believe on this point. It will not affect your salvation. But, I do not want to argue about it. I think we should just agree to disagree and leave it at that.
