NASB | 1 John 1:8 If we say that we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves and the truth is not in us. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | 1 John 1:8 If we say we have no sin [refusing to admit that we are sinners], we delude ourselves and the truth is not in us. [His word does not live in our hearts.] |
Bible Question: If someone has accepted Jesus as their savior but then commits a sin, which they commited regularly before being born again, are they no longer born again? |
Bible Answer: I think once your "born again" you're always "born again" regardless of if you stumble...However, only those who are sincere of heart in their commitment to God...and only God knows the heart...are those that struggle to be as sinless as possible due to their love and faith in Jesus Christ...there is only one sin that cannot be forgiven and that is to deny or "blasphemy" God once you make the commitment to become "reborn". ..to deny Him...that is merely my own understanding, but you should search the Scriptures for yourself. |
