NASB | 1 John 1:7 but if we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | 1 John 1:7 but if we [really] walk in the Light [that is, live each and every day in conformity with the precepts of God], as He Himself is in the Light, we have [true, unbroken] fellowship with one another [He with us, and we with Him], and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin [by erasing the stain of sin, keeping us cleansed from sin in all its forms and manifestations]. |
Bible Question: What about sin we may not be aware of yet? Is our fellowship broken when we have sin we are not aware of or does the blood of Jesus cover that sin and keep us in fellowship? |
Bible Answer: "To have no KNOWN sin unconfessed" 'To abide in Christ is, on the one hand, to have NO KNOWN SIN unjudged and unconfessed, no interest into which He is not brought, no life which He cannot share. On the other hand, the abiding one takes all burdens to Him, and draws all wisdom, life, and strength from Him. It is not unceasing consciousness of these things, and of Him, but that nothing is allowed in the life which separates from Him.'
