NASB | 1 John 1:7 but if we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | 1 John 1:7 but if we [really] walk in the Light [that is, live each and every day in conformity with the precepts of God], as He Himself is in the Light, we have [true, unbroken] fellowship with one another [He with us, and we with Him], and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin [by erasing the stain of sin, keeping us cleansed from sin in all its forms and manifestations]. |
Bible Question: Can we be forgiven for murder? |
Bible Answer: When Jesus died on the cross, he died for all sins, past present and future. He took away sin, to be put behind the back of God never to be seen again. So all sins have been forgiven. But then we are not saved by the death of Christ, we are saved by His life. His death cleared the deck for salvation. The whole world has been reconciled to God through Christ. The only "sin" that man is accountable for is his unbelief in Jesus. Jesus said, "the world's sin is unbelief in Me." Hope that helps. Keep growing : ) |
