Subject: All have sinned |
Bible Note: All have sinned ************************* John again confronts the Gnostic's denial that their immoral actions were sinful. Even believers sin. If we deny past sin and present guilt, we are deceiving ourselves, mocking God, and not walking in the light. There was only one Man who knew no sin (2 Cor. 5:21). Since God has said that all people are sinners (Psalm 14:3; 51:5; Isaiah 53:6; Jeremiah 17:5,6; Romans 3:10-19,23; 6:23), to deny that fact is to blaspheme God with a slander that defames His name. - Nolan |
