NASB | 2 Peter 1:8 For if these qualities are yours and are increasing, they render you neither useless nor unfruitful in the true knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | 2 Peter 1:8 For as these qualities are yours and are increasing [in you as you grow toward spiritual maturity], they will keep you from being useless and unproductive in regard to the true knowledge and greater understanding of our Lord Jesus Christ. |
Bible Question: Knowing that accepting the free gift of Salvation, is but the first step, in our Christian walk, what is the entire process of a successful Christian walk, with Scriptural references? |
Bible Answer: 1:9 For he who lacks these qualities is blind or short-sighted, having forgotten his purification from his former sins. The qualities of verses 5-7 do not have to be perfected in order to go to the next one. You'll be working on them all eventually. Steve PS There is also study of the Word (2Ti 3:16-17). Plus, giving (Mat 6:1-4), prayer (vv 5-14) and fasting (vv 16-18) ... they all start out with the word "when." There is more, so search and study Scripture. ...another post cut off at the shin |
