Subject: Why will God judge the church? |
Bible Note: Kalos, this is the passage I am pondering: 1 John 4:15-18. Because we abide in God and God abides in us, we have confidence on the day of judgment that there is NO CONDEMNATION for those who are IN Christ (Romans 8:1) - Perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves punishment - but we have been perfected! "As HE is," already judged for our sin - it is FINISHED, so also are we, IN HIM. Therefore, the day of judgment is not FOR the Church. We have passed from death to Life. We may be observers of this event, and much as some might like to sit in the Judment Seat, that Place has been taken! Let's endeavor and encourage others to keep their eyes on Jesus, the Author and FINISHER of our faith! Blessings, mommapbs |
