Bible Question:
Hello, I am a born again, spirit filled believer and I love JESUS. I read and pray everyday, but I have a problem with meditating on Gods word. I'm one who wants to do what the bible says (obedient) but I need help with learning how to meditate, how do you meditate? Thanks in advance for all your help, be blessed |
Bible Answer: Good answer Mezan. I think it should be pointed out that meditating is not some kind of mystical experience or something. It is really just the lost art of thinking. In biblical terminology, when you meditate on something you are thinking about it, turning it over and over in your mind, seeing it from different directions. We used to use words like cogitate, ponder, contemplate. You chew over an idea when it is good food for thought. As believers, of all people, we should be practicing this every idle moment. Give your brain good food to chew on... get as much scripture into it as you can. |
