Bible Question:
How come 5:15 links sins to sickness? Does sin cause sickness? Does healing sickness also heal sin and visa versa? And why would James say "if" when all have sinned and continue to sin? James 5:15 and the prayer offered in faith will restore the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up, and if he has committed sins, they will be forgiven him. |
Bible Answer: Hello Newoldstock, Mark 2:9 Whether is it easier to say to the sick of the palsy, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and take up thy bed, and walk? Jesus Christ is the remedy for both sin , as well as, for sickness. "How come 5:15 links sins to sickness?" No, it does not. "Does sin cause sickness?" Sometimes. "Does healing sickness also heal sin and visa versa?" No. "And why would James say "if" when all have sinned and continue to sin?" If the sickness was a consequence of sin, then it would be forgiven. Joh 9:1 And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth. Joh 9:2 And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind? Joh 9:3 Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him. Pastor Glenn |
