NASB | James 4:11 ¶ Do not speak against one another, brethren. He who speaks against a brother or judges his brother, speaks against the law and judges the law; but if you judge the law, you are not a doer of the law but a judge of it. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | James 4:11 ¶ Believers, do not speak against or slander one another. He who speaks [self-righteously] against a brother or judges his brother [hypocritically], speaks against the Law and judges the Law. If you judge the Law, you are not a doer of the Law but a judge of it. |
Bible Question: In James 4:11 I wanted to know what law the verse if refering to when it says "He who speaks against a brother or judges his brother, speaks against the law and judges the law" What is the law being spoked against and where can I find that law? |
Bible Answer: The Law of Love, because "love does no wrong to a neighbor, therefore love is the fullfillment of THE Law"; (Romans 13:10) that is, it is a "Law-unto-itself" - Does the Love of Christ abide in you your heart as the promise states, (Jer. 31:31-34)or do you hope to justify yourself in your own estimation? God speaks his love into our hearts in his forgiveness, and we love by prayerful relinquishment of one another's faults. |
