NASB | James 3:1 Let not many of you become teachers, my brethren, knowing that as such we will incur a stricter judgment. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | James 3:1 Not many [of you] should become teachers [serving in an official teaching capacity], my brothers and sisters, for you know that we [who are teachers] will be judged by a higher standard [because we have assumed greater accountability and more condemnation if we teach incorrectly]. |
Bible Question: I have recently accepted Christ as my Savior and God as my true Lord and Father. I have come to this through many ways, a main one being the Lost Behind series. Today, I recieved an email from a local studant baptist organization asking if I would like to lead a Bible Study group. Not having given my information out to anyone, I was wondering if this should be seen as a sign from God? Any input would be greatly appreciated. |
Bible Answer: Hello Eniald, Don't do it. Nobody who has recently recived Christ as Savior is qualified to do this. Consider something: James 3:1 (NASB) Let not many of you become teachers, my brethren, knowing that as such we will incur a stricter judgment. Are you ready for this? I would question an organization that was so quick to ask a new believer to do this. Steve |
