Bible Question:
Hello, Brothers and Sisters in Christ, My question is a little personal, but I'm desperate. I have read this Scripture for years and asked for wisdom. I have problems, though, because I feel like I cannot hear God. I might also mention that I'm bipolar and have had problems with my emotions and feelings. I feel like I can't discern and hear God. I read the Word daily and seek what it says. I work on what it tells me God wants me to be and how He wants my heart to be before Him. But others talk of God speaking to them and speaking to their hearts. Am I the only one that this doesn't happen to? Even when I feel that it was God speaking to me I think over it again and again until I don't know if it was God or just over-thinking. Please help! I really want to be what God wants, but spend much time in confusion, thinking that I have missed out on God's rhema word to me, because I analyze it out of my mind. |
Bible Answer: Hi, Lissamz... The Scripture is the Word of God. It is God speaking... and it is God speaking for you. That is fact. The truth is not effected by how we feel. Let the truth effect your feelings, not the other way around. In Him, Doc |
