Bible Note: Dear Merv, Just because someone doesn't see eye-to-eye with you -- William Miller, Ellen White, or other so-caled authorities that are extra-Biblical -- does not necessarily mean they are "prideful." That is called an ad hominem argument. Even though our doctrinal origins are very different, I can say with utter confidence, and a clear conscience before our Lord, that Kalos is one of the most Godly men I have the pleasure of knowing. He has an extremely high view of scripture, and immerses himself in it daily. He also is very conversant with the biblical tools that are extant. Merv, scripture calls us to "not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly" and to "each esteem other better than themselves." It is presumptuous of you to affix such vices to Kalos. He has been on the forum a long time, whereas you are a relative newcomer. You will need to face the questions of other forum members and deal with properly in order to gain any patient hearing of your positions. Meanwhile, we will all be searching the scriptures to see if these things be so. Please demonstrate your own virtue of humility by being less hasty to make accusations of others for whom Christ has died. After all, it is not about winning or losing an argument, its about the truth. Furthermore, God calls us to reason, think, meditate, etc. If a person disdains thinking it is inconsistent to try to deliberate at all! In Him, Doc |
