NASB | Hebrews 6:9 ¶ But, beloved, we are convinced of better things concerning you, and things that accompany salvation, though we are speaking in this way. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | Hebrews 6:9 ¶ But, beloved, even though we speak to you in this way, we are convinced of better things concerning you, and of things that accompany salvation. |
Bible Question: What "things" accompany salvation? (What are we to be convinced of here? What evidence might we expect to see of this?) |
Bible Answer: Hi, Momma... Context is everything. The author of the epistle was discussing those that fall away. He is affirming and encouraging the readers of the epistle that they have the kind of faith that perseveres unto salvation, rather than the kind of faith that has no root (Mark 4:17). This is the point of the epistle, to encourage the recipients to press on in their sanctification. In Him, Doc |
