NASB | Hebrews 6:6 and then have fallen away, it is impossible to renew them again to repentance, since they again crucify to themselves the Son of God and put Him to open shame. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | Hebrews 6:6 and then have fallen away--it is impossible to bring them back again to repentance, since they again nail the Son of God on the cross [for as far as they are concerned, they are treating the death of Christ as if they were not saved by it], and are holding Him up again to public disgrace. |
Subject: Always Saved?? |
Bible Note: John I do not disagree with you when you state that God chose us. God truly does initiate our salvation. What is often left out is man's responsibility to repent and believe. So we do personally have a choice to make. God does not repent or believe for us, even though He enables us to be brought to the point where we must either receive Him or reject Him. To all who receive Him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name. John 1:12 Grace to you New Creature |
