Bible Question:
Hi, please assist me in the following matter. We have a cell church and we talked about salvation and giving your heart to the Lord. When I repent of my sins and accept the TRINITY as my life style is there a change that i can go to hell after i gave my life to the LORD. Thanks Kobus |
Bible Answer: Kobus Hi and welcome to the forum this is highly debated subject. There are those based on Heb 6:4-8 and Hebrews10:26-29 that say yes you can backslide enough to lose your salvation, Others based on Romans 8:35-39 and Hebrew 13:5 that say once we have eternal life we can not lose it since it is eternal. The point I would like to make is this. I do not believe a sincere Christian would sin to the point of losing his salvation. To be really saved and in right relationship with Jesus means you love Him. Jessus said those that love Him would obey His commandments. Therefore I do not see an open door before Christians in which they may walk into sin. You need to do a search in the Quick search box to the right for "once saved" or "always saved" EdB |
