AMPLIFIED 2015 | Hebrews 4:14 ¶ Inasmuch then as we [believers] have a great High Priest who has [already ascended and] passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession [of faith and cling tenaciously to our absolute trust in Him as Savior]. |
Bible Question:
Can holding fast to our confession of faith in Him also include holding fast to his promises we have confessed with our mouth? For example, having confessed I am the healed of the Lord (in the midst of the challenge). Would holding fast include not allowing my confession of healing (in Him) to change while waiting for the manifestation? Or is this strictly talking about my confession of salvation in Him? |
Bible Answer: Since healing was provided in and through the atonement, our confession of faith in Jesus finished work, slavation, healing, deliverance mean holding to the truth of the word of God through faith in Jesus finished work. He was wounded for our transgressions, bruised for our iniquities, the chastisement needful to obtain our peace was upon Him and by His stripes we were healed. Read on through verse 15 and 16. Because we have this High Priest, let us fearlessly and boldly approach the throne of grace...As God Meditate in the truth of the word, and stand fast! God bless |
