AMPLIFIED 2015 | Hebrews 4:14 ¶ Inasmuch then as we [believers] have a great High Priest who has [already ascended and] passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession [of faith and cling tenaciously to our absolute trust in Him as Savior]. |
Subject: Jesus our Great High Priest |
Bible Note: Heb 4:13 And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are open and laid bare to the eyes of Him with whom we have to do. Heb 4:14 Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. Heb 4:15 For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin. Heb 4:16 Therefore let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need. Point One - Jesus sees all. Point Two - Jesus, our High Priest, has passed through the heavens. Point Three - Jesus is the Son of God. Point Four - Jesus, our High Priest, can sympathize with our weaknesses. Point Five - Jesus was tempted in all things and did not sin. Point Six - We can draw near with confidence to our Great High Priest knowing He will help us showing us grace and mercy to help us in our time of need. |
