Bible Question:
I have heard preachers say: "you cannot out-sin the grace of God." I thought it might be interesting to see what this forums thoughts on that statement might be. So do you agree with that statement? Do you disagree? Why? |
Bible Answer: sin is not forgiven without payment. if you are in debt and the debt is forgiven then the one to whom it was owed has suffered the loss. christ died on the cross as payment for all sin for all time. therefore you cannot out sin grace. but the question is raised repeatedly. why sin? is there profit in it or lasting satisfaction? isn't it against your nature as a christian to sin? all the sins of all the people for all time has been paid for and therefore forgiven. it is not the forgiveness of sin that saves man, it is life that saves a dead man. we were dead but now we are alive. romans five...we are saved by his life. (not by forgiveness of sin) |
