NASB | Hebrews 3:13 But encourage one another day after day, as long as it is still called "Today," so that none of you will be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | Hebrews 3:13 But continually encourage one another every day, as long as it is called "Today" [and there is an opportunity], so that none of you will be hardened [into settled rebellion] by the deceitfulness of sin [its cleverness, delusive glamour, and sophistication]. |
Subject: Two questions on this verse |
Bible Note: Greetings and welcome to the Forum - interesting that you chose to respond to this question. What prompted this? We have this day - Today - it is a gift to be received with gladness . . . but tomorrow is the real "present" - for it is then when we will be "present" with the Lord. So as long as it is called Today - we make it our aim to please Him . . . ("This is My beloved Son in Whom I am well pleased" comes to mind here!) I appreciated your response to the deceitfulness of sin. Blessings, mommapbs |
