NASB | Hebrews 13:5 Make sure that your character is free from the love of money, being content with what you have; for He Himself has said, "I WILL NEVER DESERT YOU, NOR WILL I EVER FORSAKE YOU," |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | Hebrews 13:5 Let your character [your moral essence, your inner nature] be free from the love of money [shun greed--be financially ethical], being content with what you have; for He has said, "I WILL NEVER [under any circumstances] DESERT YOU [nor give you up nor leave you without support, nor will I in any degree leave you helpless], NOR WILL I FORSAKE or LET YOU DOWN or RELAX MY HOLD ON YOU [assuredly not]!" [Josh 1:5] |
Bible Question: Does God or will God speak to you every day in your relationship with Him. Or does He leave you at times, and if He does because of your sin will He come back, or did you lose salvation? |
Bible Answer: God does speak to you, if you are listening for Him. He will never leave you (Heb.13:5) but sin can interrupt your hearing Him. The Lord doesn't change or move away from you....it's our moving that would make us seem far away from God. In my searching of scripture I have assurance of salvation. I will never lose it. If you want to explore that topic you can type in on the search feature the words 'lost' or 'lose salvation'. There have been many discussion threads on that topic. I pray the Lord will strengthen your faith. In Christ, Hugger |
