NASB | Hebrews 11:6 And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to [walk with God and] please Him, for whoever comes [near] to God must [necessarily] believe that God exists and that He rewards those who [earnestly and diligently] seek Him. |
Bible Question:
Can a indivisual be saved and doesn't have any faith. Although they're constantly saying I have faith and I trust God. When something happens then they shut down, and begin to worry and I question their confession of having faith. |
Bible Answer: But without faith it is impossible to please and be satisfactory to Him. For whoever would come near to God must [necessarily] believe that God exists and that He is the rewarder of those who earnestly and diligently seek Him [out]. (AMPLIFIED Hebrews 11:6) Just because someone has a tendency to worry, I would not be too quick to judge whether they are saved. It would be a mistake to say that true Christians never worry. There are evidences of genuine saving faith by which a person may examine himself -- not others -- to determine whether he is saved. Yes, there are evidences, but the absence of any and all worry is not one of them. |
