Bible Note: Charis, I agree that "Christians of every generation have always needed to walk in faith." I mentioned that faith is like a "sixth sense", you can't see faith, nor feel, taste, smell or hear it, it exists outside of our normal five physical senses. God designed us, the believers, to live (or function) by faith. In the Old Testament, the prophet wrote, "..the just shall live by his faith" (Habbakuk 2:4.) What this doesn't mean Charis, is that we only use our faith when we have a big problem or in cases of an emergency. No! Faith is not to be used that way. It is to be used every day, constantly, and used in every area of your life, from prayer, to marriage, to money matters, to getting relatives saved, or whatever. God wants us to manifest His abundant life in the earth, the life that Jesus spoke about when he said, "..I am come that they (you) might have life, and that they (you) might have it more abundantly" (John 10:10). And the way we do it is by faith! Now do we pursue the fruit of the Spirit, or are you saying that we live by the Spirit? The fruit of the Spirit is in us, they will manifest. As opposed to living as mentioned in Galatians 5:19-21. Hebrews 11:39, We have even more reason to have faith than these heroes, of the faith. Even though they showed faith, they never saw the promise in the same way that we do, on this side of the Cross. They could not be made complete until the work of Jesus; the looked forward to Jesus and His work, we look at it from behind. May the Lord continue to bless you richly! |
