AMPLIFIED 2015 | Hebrews 11:13 ¶ All these died in faith [guided and sustained by it], without receiving the [tangible fulfillment of God's] promises, only having seen (anticipated) them and having welcomed them from a distance, and having acknowledged that they were strangers and exiles on the earth. Subject: How were non Jews saved B.C.? |
Bible Note: A better example would be Abraham, since we are explicitly told that he was saved. Indeed, Romans 4 is an explicit answer to this question. Salvation -- from Adam to the last of the elect -- is always by the same means: the atonement of the Lord Jesus Christ. Adam and Abraham might not have known His name, yet there is no other way in which sinful men may stand justified before a holy God. |
