Bible Question: Prior to the death of Christ was it possible for non Jews, or "aliens" to achieve atonement, or reconciliation with God, and if so, how? |
Bible Answer: Hi David, Welcome to the forum! The same way we get saved... By faith. GenĀ 5:22-24 Then Enoch walked with God three hundred years after he became the father of Methuselah, and he had other sons and daughters. So all the days of Enoch were three hundred and sixty-five years. Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God took him. Notice, Enoch was not a Jew, also, read all of Hebrews 11, God doesn't spell it out clearly to us in the OT, but you can be sure that they new more then we can see just from reading from our vantage. After all, Abel new something about the need for sacrifice and what was proper. Gen 4:4 Heb 11:39a And all these, having gained approval through their faith, We look back to the cross for salvation, they looked forward to the cross. Even though they didn't know how, (they couldn't see The Cross) but they believed He would restore things, (i.e. the fallen lost world) back to Himself. God bless John |
