AMPLIFIED 2015 | Hebrews 11:13 ¶ All these died in faith [guided and sustained by it], without receiving the [tangible fulfillment of God's] promises, only having seen (anticipated) them and having welcomed them from a distance, and having acknowledged that they were strangers and exiles on the earth. Subject: Should Christian's vote? |
Bible Note: Agree that Christians need to vote. Yes, our main focus should be on God, the Gospel, securing our heavenly home, BUT, God calls us to be light and salt to this earth also. The political process and candidates (however flawed and imperfect) do effect us and others. A prime example is what judges get appointed by elected officials. These judges then have a direct bearing on issues such as life and death (abortion), prayer in schools (remember the pledge one nation under God judge?) using some of our tax dollars for Christian schools, etc., protection of our wives and children from pornograhpy, etc. I want candidates and judges who support judeo christian values. Elected officials also effect us by tax laws (i.e. how much of your paycheck you can keep) and many other important issues. Lastly, the phase 'all that evil needs to truimpth is for good people to do nothing' does apply somewhat in this situation. We need Christians to vote! |
