AMPLIFIED 2015 | Hebrews 11:13 ¶ All these died in faith [guided and sustained by it], without receiving the [tangible fulfillment of God's] promises, only having seen (anticipated) them and having welcomed them from a distance, and having acknowledged that they were strangers and exiles on the earth. Bible Question: Any thoughts on the theory that the "two witnesses" in Rev. 11:3 will be Enoch and Elijah based on "it is appointed unto man once to die," and they apparently did not experience a physical death? |
Bible Answer: Radar Hebrews 9:27 And inasmuch as it is appointed for men to die once and after this comes judgment, is not teaching all men have to die. This was a teaching to combat reincarnation. Man will only die once and then comes the judgement. To interpret this to mean all men must die once negates the teaching of the rapture 1 Cor. 15:51 Behold, I tell you a mystery; we will not all sleep, but we will all be changed, To speculate on the two witnesses is just that speculation and Jesus told us not to waste our time doing such. If you want to read more on the subject do a search on two witnesses you should find ample reading. EdB |
