Subject: Why must I go to church? |
Bible Note: Hello Hannah, worshiping together is basically what I understand as religion/church. James say's that "religion that God our Father accepts as Pure and Faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world." (james 1:27) In today's Christian world we attempt to meet with each other to help remain unpolluted, but rarely experience true church. I don't mean to say we need to meet to have a church service, instead we should be sharing our struggles and the precious salvation that we have found in our relationship with Christ. True church and religion is not found in a building with a group of believers who have a detailed program, that starts and ends at a certain time, once a week. Church is when you face this sinful world and meet those who are willing to face the world with you. These are your blood brothers, by the blood of Christ. I'm happy you can pray at home, but never stop looking for the opportunty to share your witness with orphans, widows, and those who you call church. Your Bro in Xpistw , HAM |
