Bible Question: Many people say, 'I am a good person, I don't need to go to church, I can still be a (good) Christian by staying at home'. How can I substantiate to that type of person that they should go to church? |
Bible Answer: Hello Robertie, Well, for starters, they're only kidding themselves if they honestly think and believe such a thing. They're in rebellion against the Word of God (Heb. 10:25). There is "wisdom in a multitude of counselors", not by oneself! Prov 19:20 says, "Listen to counsel and accept discipline That you may be wise the rest of your days." (NASB) I'd strongly suggest that these "many people" prayerfully read the entire Word of God- several times if necessary- and then talk to them. Among other things already wisely said, the Christian life is not about being the Lone Ranger! Speaking the Truth in Love, BradK |
