Bible Question: god owes us salvation because we have eaarned it by our works? |
Bible Answer: Greetings CMOORE:If you are a Muslim, this is sound theology for the Quran demands that followers of allah be willing to die for him. But for the Christ follower, our God died for us! God's Word says, "God demonstrated His love for us in this: while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us!" (Romans 5:8) See Titus 3:4-8 and Ephesians 2:8-10. Both of these passages show that salvation is NOT EARNED but instead, it is a free gift of God to those who believe - the works or the deeds that follow, also belong to God as He works through us to accomplish His good and perfect will. mommapbs PS: How about sharing MOORE about yourself with the Forum and fill out the personal profile section! |
