Bible Question:
Titus 2:11,12: 11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, 12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; How does grace teach (instruct or train) us? Can God's discipline and punishment be considered grace? WOS |
Bible Answer: Greetings Brother! Hebrews 12:7-11 is one passage we can look at for consideration. Verse 10 Hebrews 12:10 (NASB95) For they disciplined us for a short time as seemed best to them, but He disciplines us for our good, so that we may share His holiness. In regards to your question verse 10 stands out to me as it compares our earthly fathers discipline as something that seemed best to them. In comparison to God's discipline which is for our own good so we may share His holiness. It is truly a gracious God willing to share His holiness with us wouldn't you agree? And He is willing to discipline us to ensure we share in His holiness! Our Father truly loves us Amen! By Faith, Steve |
