Bible Question (short): Literal or Not? |
Question (full): Is the bible literal in regards to history and creation? Timothy 3:16 depicts the bible as being a source for living or a guide. It doesn't directly or indirectly apply that the bible is literal. With that being said, how do we distibguish metaphors, parables, and symbols? None of these ideas take away from Timothy 3:16. When discusiing creation you are lead to believe that the bible is literal? Where is the proof that the Genesis creation story should be read as such? |
