NASB | 2 Timothy 2:23 But refuse foolish and ignorant speculations, knowing that they produce quarrels. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | 2 Timothy 2:23 But have nothing to do with foolish and ignorant speculations [useless disputes over unedifying, stupid controversies], since you know that they produce strife and give birth to quarrels. |
Subject: Will you change your mind? |
Bible Note: You then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please yourselves. Let every one of us please his neighbour for his good to edification. For even Christ pleased not himself; but, as it is written, The reproaches of them that reproached thee fell on me. Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the feebleminded, support the weak, be patient toward all men. And the servant of the Lord must ... be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient, in meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth; and that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will. |
