Bible Question: having a negative self-concept of oneself |
Bible Answer: There is good news for you. God can take care of any problem. First look inward to see if there is any disobedience or sinful behavior that needs to be dealt with. Proverbs 28:13 says "He who covers his sins will not prosper, but whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy." If you have never received Christ Jesus as Lord and Savior, that would be the first step to having peace. Freedom from guilt is included in Jesus' death on the cross, but we must trust Him to cleanse us. Read and study the Bible beginning with the gospels. Begin the habit of daily prayer confessing all present sins and asking for forgiveness and cleansing. Thank God for taking away the sin and guilt. Find a Bible-teaching church and begin to go regularly where you will hear and study God's Word. I pray you will find peace. If you continue to struggle seek out a pastor of a Bible-teaching church.
