AMPLIFIED 2015 | 2 Timothy 1:9 for He delivered us and saved us and called us with a holy calling [a calling that leads to a consecrated life--a life set apart--a life of purpose], not because of our works [or because of any personal merit--we could do nothing to earn this], but because of His own purpose and grace [His amazing, undeserved favor] which was granted to us in Christ Jesus before the world began [eternal ages ago], |
Bible Question: First, I want you to know "I AM SAVED" ...I have been reading about how alien beings are showing those who will listen that we (as human beings)should listen to our spiritual minds and see that we should be aware (with God as our leader) of a higher purpose for our existance. That we can get past all the worldly influences and realize God is Love and live for that and as that cause. I am concerned that if i do not listen I could be passing up the opportunity to hear what the Lord is now letting us discover...For instance: I do not know my Bible well and therefore am relying on your intrepitation to determine what I am asking and therefore trusting you to lead me to an answer..How can I be sure of what is real?..I have seen a U.F.O., not just a mysterious light in the sky. I was close and I truly believe what I saw. I have found where I can get help with discovering a deeper conciousness.(teachers) I have trouble hearing the Lord, If there is a way that helps me to get past what holds me, I think I should listen. Though, I am afraid that I might be influenced be something I shouldn't be listening to, yet I feel like this is where I am being led. I have heard of incidents in the Bible interpreted as extraterestial. I do not know what to believe. the Talmud speaks of 18,000 other worlds and Hundu scripture of innumerable universes created by God to facilitate the fufillment of the seperated desire of ennumerable living entities. However the purpose of such creations is to bring back the deluded soul to the correct understanding about the purpose of life I am taught that scripture has its ows message to the reader. Is there or isn't there other beings, does one really know? As you should know by now i am not proficient in the scripture. I do realize I should study my Bible, but I don't and I think this site "is" for Bible Dummies like me. I hope you can read what I am asking in the way I am trying to ask it. |
Bible Answer: Hello mammayama, Welcome to the Forum. You do sound confused. Are you actively involved in a good, solid Bible-based fellowship? If you are truly saved, you have placed your faith in the finished work of the Lord Jesus Christ and believe that He died for your sins. As such, it's imperative that you place as much trust in his written Word as He does (John 17:17). God's Word is truth! Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of Christ (Rom. 10:17). God's Word can conform you to by transforming your mind! Hebrews 4:12 tells us: "For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart." (NASB) Further, the Word of God is our complete revealtion: "All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness" (2 Tim. 3:16) "...The Bible gives us no reason to believe that there is life elsewhere in the universe. In fact, the Bible gives us several key reasons why there cannot be. Yes, there are many strange and unexplainable things that take place. There is no reason, though, to attribute these phenomena to aliens or UFOs. If there is a discernable cause to these supposed events, it is likely to be spiritual, and more specifically, demonic, in origin." [Gotquestions.org] May I encourage you to prayerfully seek Him and to diligently study His Word! Ask the Lord to reveal Himself to you in a more real way. Ask him to give you wisdom, because He will (James 1:5). Speaking the Truth in Love, BradK |
