AMPLIFIED 2015 | 1 Timothy 6:17 ¶ As for the rich in this present world, instruct them not to be conceited and arrogant, nor to set their hope on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly and ceaselessly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. |
Bible Question:
Heresy was not the point. Who is qualified to set the standard as to what is beyond contentment? I'm not saying that it's right or wrong to wear "fancy clothes". I'm wanting to know, who is qualified to say what is too much to spend? Who can judge another man's servant? To his own master he stands or falls. Content means self suffucient. It means that you are are seeing to your own things and not putting your nose into other peoples business. We are commanded to mind our own business and to work with our own hands that we may walk properly and LACK NOTHING. 1 thes. 4 No one can look into the heart of another man and discern his motives. That should be sufficient to keep us from deciding whether or not our brother has the "wrong reasons" for wearing "designer clothes". |
Bible Answer: If hersey isn't the point, why did you bring it up? No need to answer. |
