Bible Question:
Many members of our congregation are spreading their unhappiness with our pastor to others. Where in the bible do I find scripture that states not to attack God's special servants? I know not to bear false witness. But, I searched and I thought the bible mentions God protects teachers and such and that we'll be held accountable for sins against them. |
Bible Answer: I Timothy 5:17-19 is the scripture, but remember they are no more special than any other part of the body and they are to held accountable to the body of Christ they are in. I did not see where it says not to attack the man of God, but check out David and Saul in I Samuel 24 and how David was reluctant to reach out his hand to harm God's former anointed even though God said, go ahead kill him if you will... |
